Grand Balkan tour from: 1940€

Experience diversity of Balkan region. Starting from Belgrade in Serbia, through Bosnia and Herzegovina, Adriatic coast of Croatia, best of Slovenia and finishing in capital of Croatia, Zagreb.

Day 1) Belgrade – arrival
Arrival to the airport of Beograd and meeting with the tour guide/driver. Transfer to the hotel. Accommodation and free afternoon. Overnight in Belgrade.

Day 2) Belgrade

Breakfast in the hotel. Visit of the city with the guide. Walk along famous street Knez Mihajlova, Bohemian neighborhood Skadarlija and also along the park of Kalemegdan. Visit of the „house of the flowers „the mausoleum of the president of ex-Yugoslavia, Tito. Free afternoon. Accommodation in Belgrade.

Day 3) Belgrade – Sarajevo

After the breakfast continue to Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Arrival to Sarajevo, check in and accommodation in the town centre. Orientations walk with the guide, free afternoon.

Day 4) Sarajevo – Mostar

In the morning sightseeing of the ancient Ottoman centre „Bas Carsija ". Visit of the mosque Husref Beg, the national library, cathedral of Sarajevo .... In suburb visit of the war tunnel, the emotive exhibition that shows this city under siege during the last war. Continue to Mostar. Arrival and accommodation in Mostar.

Day 5) Mostar – Dubrovnik

After the breakfast, guided city tour. The tour includes the visit to the Turkish house and the time to admire the biggest attraction of Mostar: the old bridge. After free time, tour continues towards Dubrovnik. Stop in Ston where after a short sightseeing, you will enjoy in degustation of oysters, mussels, olive oil and wine tasting of which this area is very famous for. Accommodation in Dubrovnik.

Day 6) Dubrovnik

Breakfast in the hotel and later visit of the ancient city of Dubrovnik, also called the „pearl of the Adriatic ". Visit of the palace of the rector, the Franciscan monastery with the oldest working pharmacy in the world, the cathedral... Later we will go with a cable car which will take us to the top of the hill of Srd, where you will enjoy a sight of the wonderful and incredible landscape. Once ended the visit, free time to walk, to relax and enjoy in the city. Overnight in Dubrovnik.

Day 7) Dubrovnik

Free day in Dubrovnik. There are different possibilities to use the day. For example panoramic boat ride around the old town and island Lokrum, traditional lunch, walk on the old walls, go to the beach.... or only to enjoy and to rest for the days that come.

Day 8) Dubrovnik – Split

After the breakfast continue towards Split, the second biggest city in Croatia. Visit of the historical city, the palace of Diocletian (UNESCO), cathedral of Saint Domnius, Temple of Jupiter, the square of Peristyle, famous maritime walk Riva ... The rest of the day is free to enjoy the atmosphere and magic of this fantastic city. You can use it to have a walk, go shopping, and go to beach or to take a coffee in a picturesque bar. Overnight in Split.

Day 9) Split – Trogir – Split

After the breakfast half day excursion to Trogir which is only 25 km far from Split. Trogir's old centre is under the protection of the UNESCO for its famous set of styles; Romanesque – gothic – renaissance, one of the best preserved in the whole Central Europe. Return to Split and free fternoon.

Day 10) Split – Sibenik – Zadar

Breakfast in the hotel and continue along the Adriatic coast, passing through the city of Sibenik, the city with the largest old town of the Dalmatian coast. Walk along the narrow stone streets, rich with culture and history. Also you will be able to admire the wonderful cathedral of Saint James, part of the UNESCO world heritage. Continue to Zadar, and visit of famous and amazing "Organ of the sea „ and also "the greeting to the Sun ", architectural facilities that gained world prizes. Also church of St. Donatus, the cathedral of Saint Anastasia. Overnight in Zadar.

Day 11) Zadar – NP Plitvice lakes – Opatija

The trip continues visiting one of the nicest national park in Croatia, the famous Plitvice lakes that are part of UNESCO world heritage. Walk between high trees, wonderful lakes and the spectacular waterfalls. Boat ride across the lake Kozjak, the biggest of the park. Later continue towards "the Croatian cannes ", the city of Opatija. Accommodation in Opatija.

Day 12) Opatija – Pula – Rovinj – Motovun – Opatija

In the morning visit of Pula. Tour through the old town which includes visit of Roman amphitheatre Arena, one of the best preserved in the whole world. Afterward drive to Rovinj, considered to be one of the nicest small towns on the Adriatic coast. It is also known as the "Small Venice", thanks to its impressive architecture. Another Istria's jewel is Motovun, the picturesque village on a hill looking at the valley of the river Mirna, best known for the truffle growth. Truffle products degustation. Return to Opatija. Overnight in Opatija.

Day 13) Opatija – Postojna cave – Ljubljana

After the breakfast visit of world-famous cave of Postojna. A wonderful tour by train, which takes you underground, crossing fantastic tunnels, landscapes and galleries that will leave you breathless. Later, the trip continues towards the capital of Slovenia, Ljubljana. In the afternoon city tour. Exploring unique character of the old town that combines baroque architecture with 'Art Nouveau' style. Overnight in Ljubljana.

balcan tour Day 14) Ljubljana – Lake Bled – Ljubljana

Today we enjoy a full day excursion to Lake Bled. In Bled we take a boat ride to the island in the middle of Lake Bled and visit the Church of the Assumption. There you will pull its bell three times for your wish to come true.Afterwards visit of Bled castle with incredible sight of the lake. It is one of the attractions most visited in Slovenia. In the afternoon free time and return to the hotel in Ljubljana. Overnight in Ljubljana.

Day 15) Ljubljana – Zagreb

After the breakfast return to Croatia, most precisely, capital Zagreb. You will have the opportunity to discover the baroque atmosphere of the Upper Town, picturesque open-air markets, the city’s historical centre, St Mark’s church with multi-colored roof, the Cathedral, Croatian National Theatre, Ilica street... In the afternoon free time for leisure and individual activities. Overnight in Zagreb.

Day 16) Zagreb

Day off in Zagreb. Possibility to explore numerous museums and cultural events that this city offers, or just to enjoy in one of many coffee bars. Rest for tomorrow. Overnight in Zagreb.

Day 17) Zagreb – departure

Breakfast in the hotel and transfer to the airport. Departure flight.
